So AB de Villiers knock proved crucial in the first innings, Delhi just kept losing wickets at critical times and couldn't get any partnerships going.

  • Vettori: "It was a good all round performance on a tricky wicket, AB and Vinay Kumar's partnership was crucial for us. It was going to be tough to defend but we bowled and fielded very well."
  • Sehwag: "We lacked the crucial partnership needed to win the game, there is still 14 games to go and we know we have players to come in and that will strengthen our team up."

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable.
