Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel Stadium (Motera) became India’s ninth ground to host a Twenty20 International. Interestingly, all nine grounds have hosted one match each.

Man-of-the-Match: Yuvraj Singh for his blistering 72-run knock off 36 balls
Man-of-the-series: Mohammad Hafeez for his two crucial back-to-back half centuries

Brief scores: India 192/5 in 20 overs (Y Singh 72, MS Dhoni 33, A Rahane 28, U Gul 4/37) beat Pakistan 181/7 in 20 overs (M Hafeez 55, N Jamshed 41, A Dinda 3/36) by 11 runs

Yuvraj Singh: "Yesterday I was batting in the nets and I couldn't middle a single ball, so I was trying to spend time in the middle. That yorker [which hit him on the boot] reminded me of Wasim Akram but that's cricket, you got to take a few blows ... we thought 160-170 was a good total but if MS and me stayed till the end we knew we could score more."

MS Dhoni: "I think the young bowlers held their nerve nicely in those last few overs. They had to execute our plans and it was impressive how they responded. We got off to a very good start and after that it was important we carried on. Yuvraj was at his best when he scored those sixes. This format should be interesting and overall it was a good competition for both sides. I think drawing the series is a fair result."

Mohammad Hafeez: "When bowling we didn’t follow the basics and pitched the ball too short. The partnership between Dhoni and Singh was the difference. With the bat I think the first six overs were very good but unfortunately we couldn’t score as much as we needed."
