England earned a consolation win at Dharamsala but it was by a comprehensive margin of 7 wickets. A look at the highlights from the first international match here and the final of the series.






 Brief Scores: India 226 all out in 49.4 overs (Suresh Raina 83, Tim Bresnan 4/45) lost to England 227-3 in 47.2 overs(Ian Bell 113*, Ishant Sharma 1/37) by seven wickets

Man of the Match: Ian Bell for his match-winning unbeaten 113 (off 143 balls).

Man of the Series: Suresh Raina for scoring 277 runs @ 92.33 (SR - 91.11), which included four half-centuries and a highest score of 89*.

Alastair Cook: "It was good win, it was a good toss to win, but our bowlers bowled really well. Bresnan and Finn got early breakthroughs today. Our top four got runs and Bell played a fantastic knock. The pitch was doing something all day, so it was important to stick around with wickets in hands, it is important with the new regulations. MS Dhoni: "Series was as tight as the Test series. We should have won this game, maybe we should have batted more sensibly. But it is a young side and it will learn with time. Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable. In doing so, he etched his name in the history books by posting the highest individual score in ODI cricket and became the only batsman to post two double hundreds in the 50-over format till date.
