Verdict: Statistically speaking, it's almost impossible to separate these two world-class players. Both have been indispensable for their respective teams and their immense efforts have won their sides many crucial matches. For instance, in 1999, Lara single-handedly took West Indies to a thrilling victory over Australia in Bridgetown, while Tendulkar fell just short of achieving an identical feat for India against Pakistan in the same year in Chennai.
